Location: LIVINGSTON, Texas (KTRK). Place: the SPCA shelter in Polk County. Shelter workers shaw the woman passed out on the floor of the shelter when they entered. She had cut her hair, and they believe that she had eaten some animal meds and some whiteout (presumed to mean the correction fluid).  Her clothes were on inside-out. She has caused $2,000 of damage. The video deserves 50 million views as it must have taken an age to set up and create. They trained the cats to play their part. I think it was made in sections over a period of days or even weeks. You need a real commitment to do this because you don't know if you'll be rewarded. If it takes 20 hours of work to create it, you can only justify that input of time and effort if you can get something out of it which means success! Success is measured in the number of views and also the amount of money you make in advertising revenue. This gamble worked out and well-done to the creator. Austin Animal Center has been in the animal rescue news as per a report by Nathan J Winograd who has his own organisation called the No Kill Advocacy Center . He has a Facebook page and on that page is a post which explains the situation. In summary, the shelter decided to, in effect, gag the employees to stop them criticising the shelter in public (see FB post below). Winograd argued that that was a breach of their constitutional rights and also it would increase the prospect of animals being killed at the shelter. He won the argument which doesn't surprise me because he's a brilliant lawyer and an incredibly precise individual.  He firmly believes that every animal shelter in America should be and can be no-kill which means that 90% at least of the animals at the shelter should be adopted out and not euthanised because a home cannot be found for them. Helios is an unneutered male ginger tabby. These are popular cats with a reputation for having nice personalities. A cute looking, chonky cat to use modern parlance. In cat fancy language he is 'cobby' . He looks like an overweight, young, white British Shorthair. I am probably wrong. But he does look overweight though. Puppy fat?  I am minded to think of the large number of young boys in the UK who are overweight. If a boy or girl is overweight it is likely that they'll retain their excess weight into adulthood which will cost them ill-health. Type 2 diabetes is on the cards.
