Couple of Bengal cats at Yorkshire rescue need adopting 17/03/2023

As Yorkshire Cat Rescue state it is rare for a rescue center to have a couple of purebred cats up for adoption and in this instance, it is a couple of Bengals. One of them has a damaged right ear flap which does not enhance their appearance. They don't say how he damaged his ear. No big deal. They've put up their adoption fee to £400 for each. That's about one third of the purchase price for this cat so not bad.

If you fancy adopting a Bengal cat on the cheap this is an opportunity. But of course, the adoption fee is a fraction of the overall cost in terms of maintenance over the remainder of the life of a cat.

The rescue have said they need to be in a home where there are no other cats or dogs and that they should be confined to the home including the use of an enclosed backyard if available (rare).

These guys don't get on with other pets. That's an indication of the character of the Bengal cat which is a little bit more aggressive than your typical domestic cat due to their wild cat hybrid inheritance.

They are both 8 years old. Are they brothers?

Here is Odin's description on Yorkshire Cat Rescue (link to their website):

"Male Mature (7-10 years)

Hello, no it is not the all father but I am named after him. I'm Odin, a beautiful handsome Bengal who's at Yorkshire Cat Rescue looking for my forever home. I am a happy chatty boy who loves sitting on a lap and getting attentions. I may be a bit shy to begin with but once I'm settled, I'm sure we'll become firm friends.

Due to my pedigree status my adoption fee is £400. I am not suitable for a home with other cats or dogs. I should be ok in a home with children although just like my adult owner it would be better if they had previously had experience with cats. I need to be an indoor only cat however I may enjoy outdoor access in a enclosed garden. So, what do you think, am I coming home with you? Please look for the blue "Reserve a Cat" button and fill in an application. You will need my name and reference no. which is Odin 741/16."
