Cat likes to perch on owner's hand. Why?

The owner says that her cat loves to perch on her hand as seen in the video and does not want to be placed on the floor. The reason is fairly obvious.

If the woman had a couple of really great cat tree climbers with comfy platforms, I'd expect this habit to stop.
